Units
- For your convenience and to mitigate loadshedding and black outs the units are serviced by a 7.5 kilowatt inverter supported by 10 solar panels which runs a number of but not all the appliances. The inverter comes on automatically when loadshedding occurs. Please study and abide by the information pamphlets provided in the unit regarding loadshedding and the water supply to get the optimum use of the inverter and water supply and not to overload and trip the system.
- As the supply of municipal water is unreliable, the units, apart from the toilets and washing machine, are all connected to rainwater tanks from which water is pumped by an electric pump. There is a good supply of rainwater but obviously not limitless so water should be used sparingly. Should there be no municipal water for the toilets and washing machine they can be switched to rainwater.
- For your privacy, social distancing and safety the two flats (2 bedroomed) are totally separate – the only shared area being the lock up garages. Starter packs of Sanitiser and Disinfectant are provided.
- The bachelor flat is also isolated with its own garage: (See below)
Each 2 bedroomed flat consists of: - 1 Double bedroom en-suite with Percale sheets and aircon (choice of king size or single beds)
- 1 Double bedroom en-suite with Percale sheets (two single beds).
- A camp cot and high chair is provided for babies and toddlers.
- Open plan fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, food mixer, blender and all other mod cons).
- A two plate gas stove, gas ring, gas light, hotpot, and 2 gas cylinders as well as emergency lights, torches and candles are provided.
- Comfortable living area.
- Flat screen TV with full DSTV and Netflix, playing cards, games, and good quality magazines provided.
- A beach umbrella is supplied and beach towels are available on request.
- Free Wi-Fi available.
- Private patio with stainless steel braai, Weber kettle braai, comfortable patio furniture, retractable all weather awning and a patio heater (available on request).
- Under-floor heating and ceiling fans in living areas and bedrooms. Main bedrooms also equipped with aircons.
- Securely fenced and walled with a security beam in the garden and intercom.

- Situated in a quiet and secluded area.
- Five minute walk (500 - 600 meters) to shops, restaurants, the Kariega river and lagoon and Kenton’s Blue Flag beach.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy.
During the year a 50% deposit is required to confirm reservation. These deposits are refundable up to 30 days before arrival date. Thereafter non-refundable.
For the high season period (15th December - 10th January) a 25% deposit is required to confirm a reservation. A further 25% is payable before the 31st August and the balance payable before 30th November. These deposits are refundable up to 30 days before arrival date. Thereafter non-refundable.
Policy Information
- Our mission is to provide our guests (and neighbours) with a quiet and peaceful stay. Therefore rowdy parties and loud music are strongly discouraged.
- Check in time is between 2.00pm and 7.00pm on day of arrival unless by special arrangement.
- Please PHONE Marion on 082 780 3625 on your arrival in Kenton to arrange where and when to meet.
- Check out time: not later than 10.00am on day of departure unless by special arrangement.
- The units will be serviced (including a change of linen and towels) every fourth or fifth day depending on the length of your stay. The housekeeper can do additional servicing (at R175 per day) if required but this is not included in the basic tariff and is an extra. The housekeeper is also available to do laundry (R100 per load) weekdays, Monday to Thursday. This is also not included in the basic tariff and is an extra.
- Children of all ages are welcome. Children under 4 years are free. Children 4 years to 12 years are half price. A camp cot and high chair are available for babies and toddlers.
- Sorry, but no pets allowed.
- Sorry, but no smoking allowed in the units.
- Breakages: Breakages and any damage to property should be reported immediately. The tenant is responsible for costs incurred for any breakages and damage.
- Termination of stay: The owners reserve the right to terminate the stay with immediate effect of any tenants for unacceptable behaviour and or damage to the property.
Bachelor flat
We also have available a small compact bachelor flat situated at 20 Bathurst Street which is ideal for one night or short stays for a single person or couples. The flat has an en-suite bathroom, queen size bed, fully equipped kitchenette, ceiling fan, and a flat screen TV with full DSTV and Netflix. ‘In the event of loadshedding/blackouts the flat is serviced by an inverter supported by solar panels which will run some but not all of the appliances. The inverter comes on automatically when loadshedding occurs. Please study and abide by the information pamphlets provided in the flat regarding loadshedding and the water supply to get the optimum use of the inverter and water supply and not to overload and trip the system. Free Wi-Fi, emergency lights, torches, candles, a heater, ironing board and iron are also provided. The outside area has patio furniture, camp chairs and a stainless steel braai. A beach umbrella is supplied and beach towels are available on request. An off street lock up garage is provided. Both the flat and garage have 24hour Armed Response Security. The flat will be serviced every fourth or fifth day depending on the length of your stay. The housekeeper can do additional servicing ( R175/day) if required but this is not included in the basic tariff and is an extra. The housekeeper is also available to do laundry (R100/load) weekdays, Monday to Thursday. This is also not included in the basic tariff and is an extra.
